ரசிகர் மரணம், வீட்டுக்கு சென்று ஆறுதல் கூறிய நடிகர் ஜெயம் ரவி!

சென்னை எம் ஜி ஆர் நகர் ஜெயம் ரவி ரசிகர் மன்றத்தில் தலைவராக இருந்த, சென்னை கே கே நகர் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த இளைஞர் ராஜா (வயது 33) அவர்கள் சமீபத்தில் உடல் நலக்குறைவால் காலமானார். ஜெயம் ரவி மீது மிகுந்த அன்பு கொண்டிருந்தவரான  ராஜா, ஜெயம் ரவி ரசிகர் மன்றம் சார்பில் பல நற்பணிகள் செய்து வந்தார். 

தனது ரசிகனின் திடீர் மரணத்தை அறிந்த ஜெயம் ரவி, ராஜாவின் வீட்டுக்குச் சென்று, அவரது குடும்பத்தினரை நேரில் சந்தித்து ஆறுதல் கூறினார். மேலும் குடும்பத்திற்கு எந்த உதவியானாலும் தான் செய்து தருவதாக உறுதியளித்தார்.

"Director's Day" celebrations on 4th May!

To celebrate the birth anniversary of our Telugu  pride , Director Dasari Narayana Rao, who directed the most feature films in the world and created a world record.. Telugu directors have declared May 4th as "Director's Day" and celebrated it like a celebration for the last 5 years!

B. Veera Shankar, president of the Telugu Film Directors' Association said that the main objective is to provide a welfare fund for the Telugu Directors' Association, and we are going to organize this year's "Directors' Day" festival in an unprecedented manner at the Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad.

Sai Rajesh, vice-president of the Telugu Film Directors' Association, disclosed the details of the festival in a special media conference (curtain raiser event) held on Monday evening. Also, another vice-president Vashishta informed that three best films from the films of new directors released this year will be selected and the directors of those films will be honored by their association with a cash prize of one lakh rupees and a memento.Also, directors Anil Ravipudi, Anudeep, Shiva Nirvana and others are fully engaged in creating many cultural programs along with their fellow director friends, the organizers said.

Famous directors Vijayendra Prasad, Relangi Narasimha Rao, N. Shankar, V.N. Aditya, Maruthi, Harish Shankar, Ajay Bhupathi, V. Samudra, G. Ram Prasad, Venky Atluri, Ram Bhimana, Anudeep, Ravipalli Rambabu and others attended the event as special guests!

In the beginning , General Secretary of Telugu Film Directors' Association Ch. Subbareddy started the meeting and invited many celebrities on the stage.

Director's Day and TFDA logos were unveiled in this meeting. Also, the official website of the Telugu Film Directors' Association was also formally launched. Besides, organizers said that entry passes for this year's "Director's Day" event will soon be sold through the "Book My Show" app.

B. Veera Shankar, president of the Telugu Film Directors' Association said that they have been implementing the free midday meal scheme for the members of their association who are facing financial difficulties since Ugadi, and they have been able to collect 35 lakh rupees in donations for the members' group insurance scheme within a short period of time.He also said that they will work tirelessly to serve their members in every way and that the funds raised through the "Directors' Day" they are celebrating on May 4 will be used only for the benefit of their members.

Director Harish Shankar said that famous actors like Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Prabhas, Srikanth, Nani, Vijay Devarakonda, Ram Pothineni, Kalyan Ram, Allari Naresh, Varun Tej, Sai Durga Tej, Vishwak Sen, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Navadeep, Vaishnava Tej, etc.and  many character artists, technicians will be  participating in the event.

Director N Shankar said that five years ago when he was the president of this association, he started this director's day celebration, and it is a great thing that the current executive committee is continuing the same trend in a great manner.

Directors Maruti surprised everyone by saying that hero Prabhas has announced a donation of 35 lakh rupees to the Telugu Directors' Association.

Many directors present in this meeting wished the festival a success. They praised the Telugu Film Directors' Association President B Veerashankar's team for organizing this 6th Director's Day festival so grandly to bring honor to Telugu directors worldwide.

The general secretary of this association CH Subbareddy said that this ceremony is going to be held in the presence of around 15 thousand viewers and he invited everyone who loves Telugu cinema to come and grace this festival.  Cinema people are the ones who come forward and help anyone whenever they face any difficulty. Chiranjeevi Garu, Mahesh Garu, Prabhas Garu, many great people have come forward like this. This is the truth of history. It is a film director's festival. He asked the audience to come and bless us all.

Many praised Shankar, the head of Raknas events  who announced a donation of 10 lakh rupees to this association while carrying such a big event on their shoulders.

In this program, Telugu Film Directors' Association Treasurer PV Rama Rao, Vice Presidents Sai Rajesh, Vashishta and other members of the Association's Cultural Committee and Literary Committee also participated.

International Autism Awareness!

Chennai:

On 6th April 2024 marking International Autism Awareness Month, the Honourable Governor to Tamil Nadu Shri RN Ravi visited the Aim for Seva - Swami Dayananda Krupa Home (Krupa) Campus in Sriperumbudur and inaugurated several new facilities including the residences, clinical station and training hall. He was accompanied in his tour of the facilities by Mrs. Sheela Balaji Managing Trustee, Swami Sakshatkrtananda Saraswathi and Shri. Ravee Malhotra (Trustees- Aim for Seva) and Dr. Ennapadam S Krishnamoorthy, founder- Buddhi Clinic and Trustee- Aim for Seva).  The Honourable Governor in his inspirational address highlighted the need for long term care pointing out that the question that every parent of such a child carried in their minds was “what after me?”. In this context he described the facility as pioneering and landmark in concept and lauded Swami Dayananda Saraswathiji’s vision in establishing it many decades earlier. Many more such facilities will be required in Bharath was his prediction. 

Spread over 10 acres the Krupa facility provides long term care for men with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities who cannot be managed at home for either medical or psycho-social reasons. The facility provides apart from food and shelter at subsidised costs, medical and psychological support and care, as well as a range of occupational and therapeutic opportunities. 

Buddhi Clinic a Chennai based integrative neuropsychiatry facility with branches in Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore and Apollo Specialty Hospitals, OMR, has worked with the Krupa campus for several years now. Each year all residents have undergone detailed Master Health Evaluations with a neuropsychiatry focus, and on several occasions until 2023, they have received integrative therapy for neuroropsychiatric symptoms at their doorstep, physical, psychological and holistic (AYUSH) as per the Buddhi Clinic care protocols. These efforts have also resulted in the Buddhi Book on Intellectual Disability care.  

In October 2023, Buddhi Clinic started functioning within the Krupa campus in a purpose built facility generously constructed for its integrative approach. The centre houses a range of New Neurotechnologies for neuropsychiatry - repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternate current stimulation (tACS) and random noise stimulation (RNS), transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tA-VNS), qEEG lead neurofeedback and functional magnetic stimulation (FMS). These are supported by conventional rehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological and behaviour therapies and a full house of AYUSH & Naturopathy including hydrotherapy. The development has been supported by private philanthropy and the CSR of various eminent corporates. 

While all residents of Krupa receive these interventions free in turns, based on their clinical complaints, Buddhi Clinic and Swami Dayananda Krupa Care are launching an unique “transformational care program” that invites adults with autism and other neuropsychiatric conditions to stay on campus for 3-6 weeks along with their parents/ family members, in oder to achieve clinical improvements in memory, mental health and mobility (Buddhi’s 3M focus), discover and start developing vocational and occupational skills, improve activities of daily living and quality of life and reduce caregiver distress. 

This innovative program, a global first with no parallels is now available in the Krupa campus and is supported by both Aim for Seva- Swami Dayananda Krupa Home and Buddhi Seva.

Haryana City FC Crowned National Champions of Road To Old Trafford Tournament

Haryana City FC emerged as the National Champions of the Apollo Tyres Road To Old Trafford 5-a-side tournament in a thrilling finale at Chennai today.

The second edition of Road To Old Trafford, organised by leading tyre maker Apollo Tyres and supported by Manchester United, was held in multiple phases at a pan India level to unearth India’s best 5-a-side football team and saw more than 100 teams from different parts of the country participating.

In the end Haryana City FC, which hails from Delhi, prevailed over Gunners FC from Bengaluru in a tense final that went all the way to penalties, thanks to their sublime and nerveless display in the finals held at HotFut SPR City in Perambur, Chennai. After the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time, it was the team from Delhi that maintained their composure during the shootout and eventually triumphed with a 3-2 scoreline.

In the process, Haryana City FC have earned themselves one of the most coveted prizes that any Indian football team can win – a chance to play at the hallowed turf at Old Trafford where some of the legends of the game over the years have enthralled football fans. The team from Delhi will be getting an unparalleled and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Manchester, UK for an all-expenses paid trip and play at the legendary Old Trafford stadium, also called The Theatre of Dreams and the home of Manchester United FC. The Grand Finale of the Apollo Tyres Road To Old Trafford to choose the 'Global Winner' will be held at the iconic stadium on May 31, 2024.

The tournament in its second edition was held in a bigger format with the initial round taking place in six cities — Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai wherein the city leg winners faced each other in the national finale, which also took place in Chennai today.

Playing against them was a legends team comprising former Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov, treble winners Wes Brown and Andy Cole besides Indian footballing heroes Renedy Singh, Jeje Lalpekhlua, Robin Singh and Tanvie Hans.
