ஓடிடி போதும் என உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும் சினிமா ரசிகனைத் திரையரங்குக்கு வரச் சொல்லி அழைக்கிறது இந்த RRR 'இரத்தம் ரணம் ரௌத்திரம்'. 1920-களில் வெள்ளையர்களை எதிர்த்து நின்ற அல்லூரி சீதாராம ராஜு, கொமாரம் பீம் இருவரின் பெயர்களையும், பின்னணியையும் மட்டும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, தேவையான அளவு கற்பனை சேர்த்து பிரமாண்டமான பொழுதுபோக்குப் படமாக மாற்றியிருக்கிறார் ராஜமௌலி.

பழங்குடியின சிறுமி ஒருத்தியை வெள்ளைக்கார துரையும் அவர் மனைவியும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட, அந்த இனத்தின் காப்பானான கொமரம் பீம், அச்சிறுமியை மீட்க டெல்லி வருகிறார். இன்னொரு பக்கம் நீதி, நேர்மை என பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசாங்கத்துக்கு அடிபணிந்த காவல் அதிகாரியாக அல்லூரி சீதாராம ராஜு மண்ணின் மக்களையே எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார். இந்த ராமனும், பீமனும் விதிவசத்தால் நண்பர்களாக மாற, இடையில் துரோகம் சென்டிமென்ட், நிறைய ஆக்ஷன், கொஞ்சம் காதல் என எல்லாமே எட்டிப் பார்க்க, மூன்று மணி நேரம் பிரமாண்ட விருந்தாக விரிகிறது இந்த 'இரத்தம் ரணம் ரௌத்திரம்'.

இரு வேறு முக்கிய சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வீரர்களின் வாழ்வில் இருக்கும் சில ஒற்றுமைகளை ஒன்றிணைத்து, அவர்கள் போராளிகளாக ஆவதற்கு முன் நண்பர்களாக வாழ்ந்திருந்தால் எப்படியிருக்கும் என்ற தன் கனவுக்குப் பிரமாண்டமாக உயிர் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் இயக்குநர் எஸ்.எஸ்.ராஜமௌலி. இதற்கு அவருக்கு உறுதுணையாகத் தெலுங்கு சினிமாவின் தற்போதைய முன்னணி நடிகர்களான ராம் சரணும், ஜூனியர் என்.டி.ஆரும் தோள் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள். 

இரண்டு ஹீரோக்களில் யாருக்கு அதிக முக்கியத்துவம் என்ற கேள்விக்கே இடம் கொடுக்காதவாறு இருவரின் கதாபாத்திரங்களும் ரேஸில் மாறி மாறி முன்னுக்கு வந்து, இறுதியில் ஒன்றாகவே இறுதிக் கோட்டை வெற்றிகரமாகத் தொட்டிருக்கின்றன. இருந்தபோதும் ராம் சரணைவிட, ஒரு சில இடங்களில் மட்டும் ஒரு நடிகராக ஜூனியர் என்.டி.ஆர் மிளிர்கிறார். இருவரும் இணைந்து 'நாட்டுக் கூத்து' பாடலுக்குப் போட்டிப் போட்டு ஆடுவது தியேட்டருக்கான கொண்டாட்டம்.

சிறப்புத் தோற்றத்தில் அஜய் தேவ்கன் பிளாஷ்பேக் காட்சிகளில் பலம் சேர்க்கிறார். அவருக்கென அமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் அந்த துப்பாக்கிச் சண்டை லாஜிக் பார்க்கக்கூடாத மேஜிக். அதன் இறுதியில் வரும் சென்டிமென்ட் தருணமும் படத்துக்குச் சரியான விதத்தில் பலம் சேர்த்திருக்கிறது. ஆலியா பட், சமுத்திரக்கனி, ஷ்ரேயா ஆகியோருக்குப் பெரிய வேலை எதுவும் இல்லை. வில்லன் ஸ்காட் துரையாக ரே ஸ்டீவன்சன் மிரட்டுகிறார். என்ன, அவர் ஒரே வசனத்தை மட்டுமே பன்சாக பேசிக்கொண்டிருப்பது சற்றே அயர்ச்சியைத் தருகிறது. அவரின் மனைவியாக அலிசன் டூடி கொடூர வில்லியாகப் பயமுறுத்துகிறார். ஜெனிஃபராக வரும் ஒலிவியா மோரிஸுக்கு 'வாம்மா துரையம்மா' ரோல். அவருமே கதையின் ஓட்டத்துக்கு உதவியிருக்கிறார்.

படத்தின் மிகப்பெரிய பலம் அதன் ஆக்ஷன் காட்சிகளும் அது உருவாக்கப்பட்ட விதமும். பேப்பரில் ஸ்க்ரிப்டாக, ஸ்டோரிபோர்டாகக் கனவு கண்ட அனைத்துக்கும் எந்தவித சமரசமுமின்றி பக்காவாக உயிர் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள் ஸ்டன்ட் இயக்குநர்களான சாலமன் மற்றும் நிக் பவல். கே.கே.செந்தில் குமாரின் ஒளிப்பதிவும், விசுவல் எஃபக்ட்ஸை முன்னின்று செயல்படுத்திய ஶ்ரீனிவாஸ் மோகனும் இதில் சாதித்திருப்பது இந்திய சினிமாவின் அடுத்த கட்ட பாய்ச்சல்.

அந்தச் சிறுவனைக் காப்பாற்றும் கொடி சீக்வென்ஸ், இடைவேளைக்கு முன் வரும் அந்தப் பிரமாண்ட சண்டைக் காட்சி, ராம் சரண் - ஜூனியர் என்.டி.ஆர் மோதல், பின்னர் கிளைமேக்ஸில் வரும் சண்டை என எல்லாமுமே நம்மை இருக்கையின் நுனிக்குக் கொண்டு செல்கின்றன. காட்சிகளாக விரியும் அவற்றுக்கு உயிரோட்டமாக ஒலிக்கிறது மரகதமணியின் (எம்.எம்.கீரவாணி) பின்னணி இசை. பாடல்கள் பெரிதாக ஈர்க்கவில்லை என்றாலும் விசுவலாக அவை செய்ய வேண்டியதைக் கச்சிதமாகச் செய்திருக்கின்றன.

பொதுவாகவே ராஜமௌலியின் படங்களில் பிரமாண்டத்தைத் தாண்டி அதன் உயிர்நாடியாக இருப்பது அதன் உணர்வுபூர்வமான காட்சிகள். மூன்று மணி நேரப் படத்தில் ஆக்ஷன் காட்சிகள் உச்சபட்ச என்டர்டெயின்மெண்டாக இருக்க, சென்டிமென்ட் காட்சிகள் அந்த உச்சத்தைத் தொடாமல் சம்பிரதாயமான பழக்கப்பட்ட காட்சிகளாக மட்டுமே கடந்துபோகின்றன. சென்டிமென்ட் காட்சி என்றதும் ஏதோ ஒரு பாத்திரம் சத்தியம் வாங்குவதாகவும், வாக்குக் கொடுப்பதுமாகவே விரிவது 'சத்திய' சோதனை. மூன்று மணி நேரப் படம் என்பது இங்கு பிரச்னையே இல்லை. அதை பக்காவாக ஆக்ஷன், சென்டிமென்ட் என பாகங்களாகப் பிரிப்பதும் ஒரு திறமையான திரைக்கதை யுக்திதான். ராஜமௌலி இந்த படத்திலும் தான் யார் என்பதை காட்டிவிட்டார். நிஜமாகவே இவர் பிரமாண்ட இயக்குனர் தான்....
