"Garfield" Movie Review 

Since its creation in the 1970s, "Garfield" has become one of the most recognizable cartoons ever made; the lazy fat cat managed against all expectations to become a fan favorite thanks to his attitude and love for food and sleep, which separates him very much from many other comic strips of its age, and this success allowed the characters to have its own TV series and even his own live-action adaptation. Now, Garfield returns to the big screen with a more conventional animated movie that still has the chance to be charming and fun.

Personally, I never really liked Garfield, at least the version that was introduced to me as a child in his animated TV series; I found him annoying and just plain dull, which is why it was shocking to me that I had fun with The Garfield Movie, maybe because this version of the character is a lot less boring in general, and has a lot more personality than someone who simply just wants to eat and sleep. So, this is the first time I have had fun with Garfield.

This is not to say that The Garfield Movie is a masterpiece, not at all. In reality, it is a very standard CGI animated movie for the times, and it doesn’t push the envelope in any shape or form, but it doesn’t have to; it only needs to be fun, and that it is, even when the script uses a structure and a storyline that is very predictable and sadly doesn’t allow for any big surprises or revelations. Of course, this comes from the point of view of an adult, but for kids, the script’s development might be a lot more impactful.

Nevertheless, both kids and adults will enjoy the humor in the same manner. This is a pretty funny movie in a way that feels innocent and simple but effective, and this level of success in this aspect of the film is definitely a combination of the voice actors’ performances and the jokes themselves, which range from bright to excellent examples of physical comedy.

The Garfield Movie will take Garfield on a journey outside his home, and this development is enough to create a lot of funny situations, as Garfield is definitely domesticated, and being in the wild is just not his thing. The script introduces many funny characters along the way, and while none of them will become instant classics, they serve the movie well by changing the mood and putting Garfield into more uncomfortable situations.

Movie, one of the most successful movies at the box office last year. Here in The Garfield Movie, Pratt delivers a performance that is more in line with what we are used to from him, while in the Mario Bros. Movie, he was a lot more restrained; here, he is free to go into his charismatic self and give Garfield a much-needed dose of charm without sacrificing his lazy attitude.

Samuel L. Jackson also does a great job as Vic, Garfield’s father, and the other significant characters in the movie. Jackson’s presence is always appreciated; he does his best to reach Pratt’s charm and does it effortlessly. However, it is Ving Rhames in the role of Otto, a bull, who steals every scene he is in. For such a minor role, his character really makes an impression.

However, the quality of the animation feels a bit simple compared to the work done in many other animated films. It would be insane to ask for something like what has been done in Spider-Man Across the SpiderVerse, and it wouldn’t fit anyway, but the way the movie moves and is framed in every show feels very safe. It would have been interesting to see something more daring here and there, but it is a nitpick, and it won’t affect the movie’s general enjoyment.

The Garfield Movie is a fun time at the theater and will be pretty entertaining for kids and adults alike. Still, sadly, it probably won’t become a classic in the same way The Emperor’s New Groove did, not because it is terrible, but because it is too safe, and it doesn’t dare to go the extra mile to create something truly memorable, nevertheless, for the time you will be inside the theater watching it, it will be the charm and laughs to your life.

நடிகர் ஜீவா அவர்கள் பேசும் பொழுது," திரு.K.S.ரவிக்குமார் மற்றும் திரு.விக்ரமன் இயக்கத்திலும் நான் குழந்தை நட்சத்திரமாக நடித்துள்ளேன். இது ஒரு குடும்ப விழா. நான் அறிமுகமாகும் போதும் என்னை வாழ்த்த இதேபோல அனைவரும் வந்திருந்தனர். ஆளும் என்னாலும் சிறந்த படங்களை தர முடிந்தது.இவர்களின் வாழ்த்து  உங்களுக்கு மிகப்பெரிய வாழ்த்தாக அமையும்.நீங்களும் மேன்மேலும் வளருவீர்கள் என்று வாழ்த்துகிறேன். இயக்குனருக்கும், RK Celluloids-க்கும் என்னுடைய வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்", என்றார்.

கார்த்திக் சுப்புராஜ் அவர்கள் பேசும் பொழுது,"விஜய் கனிஷ்கா, இசையமைப்பாளர் C.சத்யா மற்றும் இயக்குனர்களுக்கு என்னுடைய வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். அதேபோல என்னுடைய இரண்டாவது திரைப்படம் ஜிகர்தண்டா வெளியாவதற்கு முக்கியமான காரணமாக இருந்தவர் விக்ரமன் சார் மற்றும் R.K.செல்வமணி அவர்கள் இந்த நேரத்தில் அதற்கு நான் நன்றி தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்", என்றார்.

அடுத்ததாக K.பாக்யராஜ் அவர்கள் பேசும் போது," இது ஒரு இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவாக அல்லாமல் நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் விழா போல் உள்ளது. சூப்பர்குட் ஃபிலிம்ஸ் R.B.சௌத்ரி அவர்களுக்கு நாம் நன்றி தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும்.இந்த மாதிரியான இயக்குனர்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி தமிழ் சினிமாவுக்கு சேவை செய்துள்ளார். திரைப்படம் சிறப்பாக வந்துள்ளது. விஜய் கனிஷ்காவிற்கும் திரைப்படம் வெற்றியடையவும் வாழ்த்துகிறேன்", என்றார்.

இயக்குனர் மிஷ்கின் அவர்களின் பேசும்பொழுது," தலைசிறந்த ஒரு அரசனின் பெயரை தன் மகனுக்கு சூட்டியுள்ளார்.விக்ரமன் அவர்களின் படத்தலைப்புகள் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். விஜய் கனிஷ்காவிற்கு இந்த அளவுக்கு ஆதரவு இருப்பது வரவேற்கத்தக்கது. விஜய் கனிஷ்காவிற்கும் இயக்குனர்களுக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். இந்த திரைப்படம் வெற்றியடைய வாழ்த்துகிறேன்.ரசிகர்கள் அனைவரும் திரைப்படத்தை திரையரங்கில் சென்று பார்க்க வேண்டுகிறேன்", என்றார்.

This innovative program aims to revolutionize 3EV ownership by separating the upfront cost of the vehicle from the battery. Customers can now purchase the Apé Elektrik for INR 2.59 lakhs (ex-showroom) and subscribe to a high-quality Piaggio-approved battery pack for a monthly fee leased through the dealership.

The subscription model goes beyond affordability. It addresses a major pain point – battery anxiety. Customers can now enjoy the benefits of electric mobility without worrying about battery maintenance, lifespan, or replacement costs. Piaggio is taking full responsibility for battery health, offering peace of mind for long-term EV ownership.

Piaggio India believes this model can be a game changer for policymakers looking to sustain EV growth beyond the subsidy era. By addressing affordability and battery concerns, the subscription model can encourage wider adoption of electric 3Ws, leading to cleaner transportation and reduced emissions.

Subscription Model Details:

• Customers purchase the Apé Elektrik chassis directly from dealerships for INR 2.59 lakhs (ex-showroom Maharashtra ).
• The battery is provided to the customer at the dealership for a monthly rent
• The vehicle chassis and powertrain are registered in the customer's name, allowing for loans with hypothecation on the chassis and powertrain through NBFCs.

Subscription Tenure and Benefits

• The battery lease term is 120,000 kilometres or 8 years for cargo vehicles and 150,000 kilometres or 8 years for passenger vehicles.
• After reaching the designated mileage, the monthly rent reduces to INR 0.
• The subscription includes battery replacements at the same rental amount after the initial lease term.

Initial Availability and Expansion Plans

The battery subscription model will be launched in all the key Indian cities (30 cities)

The subscription model requires no additional documentation from customers and of desired, allows them to unsubscribe the program or sell their vehicle at any time like a regular buy.

Hope in Motion: Doctors Successfully Perform India's First Robotic CRS with HIPEC for Peritoneal Surface Cancer!

In a major medical breakthrough, surgical oncologists at Apollo Cancer Centre (ACC) has successfully performed India's first Robotic Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for a peritoneal surface cancer. This minimally invasive, robotic-assisted approach marks a paradigm shift in treating Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP), an aggressive appendix cancer, offering patients with a new standard of care, enabling faster recovery and improved quality of life.

Dr. Ajit Pai, Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, Apollo Cancer Centre, Chennai along with his team, spearheaded this first-of-its-kind approach. The collaborative clinical expertise and unwavering dedication to transformative tech innovations at ACC, were instrumental in achieving this remarkable success.

A female patient, aged 51, was diagnosed with bilateral ovarian masses, and had  extensive surgical intervention, including the removal of the uterus, ovaries, appendix, and part of the omentum. Subsequent histopathological examination revealed a high-grade mucinous tumour of the appendix with pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), necessitating additional surgery. The patient was found to have residual mucinous implants (gelatinous deposits that remain in the abdomen post-surgery for appendicular mucinous tumors) in the pelvis and around the cecum (first part of the colon).

Due to the peculiar tendency of the appendix cancer to spread to the lining of the patient's abdomen (peritoneum), Dr Ajit Pai and team performed minimally invasive Robotic Cytoreductive Surgery (to reduce the amount of cancer cells in the abdominal cavity) with right hemicolectomy (removing the colon which bears the appendix) and complete mesocolic excision (surgery for treating cancer arising from the colon and appendix) and peritonectomy and total omentectomy, along with Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (heated chemotherapy with a chemo drug) eliminating any possible microscopic residual tumours inside the abdomen.

Traditionally, CRS/HIPEC has been performed as an open and an extensive operation, with a 10-12-inch incision associated with prolonged hospitalization. The Robotic CRS approach offers significant advantages as it is minimally invasive; the clinicians made use of tiny 8mm incisions for the robotic instruments, minimizing pain, blood loss, scarring and discomfort. Additionally, a single 5cm incision was used for tumour removal and the delivery of HIPEC. This novel approach translated to a faster recovery and a quicker return to normal life for the patient. At one year follow up, she remains in perfect health and cancer free.

Dr. Ajit Pai, Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, Apollo Cancer Centre, said, “Robotic CRS offers a transformative approach, requiring expertise in traditional and robotic techniques for precise tumor resections. With reduced post-operative morbidity, minimal access, and quicker recovery, this method is a viable choice for patients whose cancer cells have spread to and implanted on the peritoneal surfaces in a limited manner.
