Dr Agarwals to Conduct Glaucoma Patient Summit in Chennai!

Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital is organizing Glaucoma Patient Summit in Chennai on March 29, 2024. To be addressed by some of the leading ophthalmologists and glaucoma specialists in India, the event is expected to attract the participation of hundreds of patients from across the country. Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging a nerve in the back of the eyes called the optic nerve. The symptoms can start so slowly that patients may not notice them. The only way to find out if a person has glaucoma is to get a comprehensive dilated eye exam.

For all in-person participants, basic glaucoma eye checkup will be conducted free of cost. The tests will include: NCT and Fundus picture screening. This technique aims to minimize the impact on the patient's quality of life by preserving an essential body marker for women and ensuring a more positive post-treatment experience.

The surgeons followed specific protocols to successfully execute this surgery. Following neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the patient opted for bilateral mastectomy and prophylactic oophorectomy. The innovative Robotic Nipple Sparing Mastectomy (NSM) with Risk-Reducing Oophorectomy was performed, utilizing tiny incisions and leveraging the advantages of robotic surgery.
