WREATH LAYING CEREMONY AT VICTORY WAR MEMORIAL!

Chennai Military Station celebrated Army Day on 15 January 2021 under the aegis Headquarters Dakshin Bharat Area in a solemn wreath laying ceremony under strict Covid protocol at the Victory War Memorial, Chennai in honour of the brave heroes who had made the supreme sacrifice to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.

Lt Gen Manik Kumar Das, Sena Medal**, Vishisht Seva Medal, Commandant, OTA Chennai alongwith Officers,  JCOs and Other Ranks paid their respect and homage to the fallen heroes.

The Amy Day is celebrated every year on 15th January, the day on which Field Marshal Kondandera Madappa Carriapa became the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army of free India in 1949.
