'GodsJilla' film begins with a formal pooja and celebrates Hero Tharshan's Birthday

TodayZinema Media and Entertainment Ltd - Dinesh Raj Presents, Co-Produced by Creative Entertainers & Distributors and PGS Productions Filmmaker Mohan Guruselva’s new age fantasy Rom-Com “GodsJilla” starring Iconic Director Gautham Vasudev Menon & Surrender fame Tharshan commenced with a Pooja Ceremony today.Zinema Media and Entertainment Ltd, a public limited company in media & entertainment, that recently brought out the critically acclaimed film ‘BLACKMAIL’ along with Creative Entertainers and Distributors, spearheaded by producer G. Dhananjeyan, renowned for backing meaningful yet entertaining films, join hands with PGS Productions to present their latest venture, ‘GodsJilla’— a fun-filled fantasy rom-com featuring Iconic Director Gautham Vasudev Menon , Tharshan, who is acclaimed for his performance in the recent Hit ‘Surrender’ & Alisha Mirani in the lead, directed by Mohan Guruselva.
The movie was launched this morning (September 15, 2025), with a traditional Pooja ceremony, graced by the film’s cast, crew, and well-wishers from the industry: Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, FEFSI President R.K. Selvamani, Director Vijay, Director Sasi and Director Pandiraj. Helmed by a passionate filmmaker Mohan Guruselva, ‘GodsJilla’ reimagines the rom-com space by blending mythology, fantasy, humour, and heart-warming romance. At its core lies the story of a heartbroken young man whose disillusionment with love sparks a celestial intervention, leading to a journey of self-discovery, redemption, and love.
While Gautham Vasudev Menon, Tharshan, Alisha Mirani are playing the lead roles, the others in the star-cast includes Robo Shankar, KPY Vinoth, Black Pandi, PGS alongside many other prominent actors will be seen playing pivotal roles.
Backing them is a strong technical team with Shivraj (Cinematography), Aravindh B. Ananth (Editing), Karthik Harsha (Music), Art Direction by Sourabh Kesav. Known for his genre-defying storytelling, director Mohan Guruselva promises to deliver a film that is both entertaining and emotionally resonant.
